I can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't fascinated by design and color. Growing up, my parents owned a chain of children's furniture stores and I loved helping them create floor displays and deciding what to feature in the window.
Years ago, when I started Emily Harmatz Design Studio, my focus was primarily residential design. My goal was to help clients create beautiful and practical living spaces, guided by their own lifestyles and personal taste.
Since then, I've loved the transformation process. Whether it's a kitchen remodel, building something brand new, or simply re-organizing and re-decorating, I am passionate about every environment I create. I never tire of seeing the way simple, clean, and elegant design can breathe new life into old spaces.
After doing this for more than 13 years, there is not a single aspect that I don't enjoy. I love it all--design, renovation, decoration, planning, and on-site management.
